There is plenty of dough to be made at Brownley Green Village. It has recently been the venue for several very successful Baking Bread Workshop’s. The kitchen has been open to community groups and individuals were they have been taught the art of bread making. The sessions have proved so successful that the organisers are now planning a series of regular workshops. “The feedback we get is brilliant”...

Tuesday 24th July  saw The FA Girls’ Football Festival, supported by Continental Tyres, Sport England and UEFA visit the Wythenshawe Games,  near Manchester. More than 200 girls, most of them playing for the first time, took part in a free programme led by FA coaches and aimed at encouraging girls to get involved in the game. The Boeing Aircraft Corporation brought their new 787 Dreamliner aircraft one of the world’s largest passenger planes to Manchester Airport on The Dream World Tour around 10,000 enthusiasts in and around the airport watched it do a low level pass at 500ft in front of the viewing park before landing and taxiing for a close up view. c’est un triomphe for Wythenshawe FM Mike Dawson, Wythenshawe FM presenter, stand-up comic and playwright will be undertaking a huge charity bike ride between the 19th and 24th September 2011. Mike will be cycling a total of 284 miles from Westminster Bridge in London to the Arc De Triomphe in Paris and its all in aid of Wythenshawe FM.
