NO SMOKING DAY

Manchester Stop Smoking Service and Manchester Markets Quit and be Quids In!

A message from Manchester Stop Smoking Service:

Every day, people make positive choices about their life.

Choosing to stop smoking can be the single most important and worthwhile decision a person ever makes.

In Manchesterlast year, 4536 people stopped smoking with the help of Manchester Stop Smoking Service.

This No Smoking Day (14th March), Manchester Stop Smoking Service launches a campaign, in partnership with Manchester City Council,

“Quit and be Quids In”.

NHS Support Stalls have opened on Manchester Markets.  Advisors on the stalls offer professional advice and support to local people who want to stop using tobacco.  No appointment is needed and the service is free.

The health benefits of quitting smoking may be obvious, but have you ever counted the cost?

A packet of cigarettes costs on average £6.59.  A person smoking 20-a-day could save £2,405 a year if they quit!

At a time of recession, money is tight – why not come along to your local market to find a bargain.  Computer games, toys, fashion, jewellery, food, household goods, and NHS help and advice too!

Visit our Stop Smoking Stalls at Wythenshawe Indoor Market and Gorton, Harpurhey and Longsight Markets.
