Back In Time with Elvista

Hi I'm Elvister, and I do the “Back In Time” and Wildlife shows on Mondays here on WFM.

I live in Baguley and have two kids Katie 9 and Robert 18. I was born in Manchester and went to Rack House School then Southern Cross School and left at 16. I've worked all over the Manchester area. We, as in me and Katie, spend most of the weekend in Wythenshawe Park at the farm or the horse paddock.

I’ve been at WFM for 6 years and in this time I’ve made lots of friends here. we have a top team of presenters, and the management are A1.

When I first came to the studio I did not know much about radio, could hardly read or write and that’s when I met two top lads, JK and Darren and they showed me the ropes. They knew what was wrong and stopped me being a street bum. They gave me the chance to turn my life around with top training and support.

Now what’s goes on in my shows? Well, on “Back In Time” we go and talk to historical figures and on my wild life show we look at different animals which takes me all over the world with my co presenter Allen Howard, the 70s throw back (Thursdays 7-9pm)

We’ve had lots of guests on from the PDSA to 5 times world Muay Thai boxing champion Ronnie Green on the show every Monday 2-4pm.

Away from the studio I sing karaoke at the Yew Tree and I’ve also done work for the Kristy Howard appeal.
