Wythenshawe FM is always looking for new talent. Whether you would
like to be a DJ, a producer, a reporter or would just like to get
involved, at WFM we can provide you with all the training you need.
However it's not just about radio, it's about gaining skills that
can improve your life . Transferable skills which offer a big boost to
your C.V. and confidence that would impress any employer.
We will show you how to work a mixing desk and other studio equipment
so you can present your own show. Many of the skills required to
produce a show are very useful in everyday life.
Our workshops give you all the necessary skills to run your own show. We look at the technical side of radio production as well as teaching journalistic skills. We use the latest audio editing software and we will show you how
to create your own jingle or promos. Don't worry if you are not
great on computers because we can help you with that too!
The training involves about 30 hours of work, (3 hours each day Monday - Friday for 2 weeks) and 30 hours of supported training over 10 weeks.
We are also looking at delivering training in the evenings and weekends.
