Wythenshawe FM have received a grant from Music Matters

The partnerPicture 2ship of Music Matters and John Lewis has a long tradition of supporting music and annually makes donations to groups through Music Matters on a national, regional and local level. To qualify applicants must make an outstanding contribution and difference to the local community and expected to have a charitable purpose.

John Lewis postroom partner John Keane received a grant for £500 from Music Matters for Wythenshawe Community Radio (WFM 97.2).

Last year John completed a course to learn how to be a radio presenter. He now presents the two hour Drivetime slot on Monday evenings.

When John saw an article about completing a Music Matters application form, John sat down with the radio station director and made their case.

The application was a success and now Wythenshawe FM have received £500 to put towards a video project report on community events and expand the stations website.

A big Thank you to John Keane and John Lewis for making it happen
