It Was great to know Alex and he was a great presenter and would help out anyone with a problem in the studio. I have had many a great laugh with him over the years about that trolly he used for moving his record collection around.

He will be sadley missed by us all at Wfm radio when we cant hear that Velvet voice anymore doing his radio shows.

I have today heard of the death of my fellow theatre critic Alex Parker Brown. The man with the easy manner, the ready smile and the red scarf. He was a popular and familiar figure in the Opera House and Palace Theatres in Manchester. He was a great and “gentle” man. I will miss him.
