Comic Relief Aims High in Wythenshawe

Red Nose DayStaff and students from the Manchester College Wythenshawe Campus dressed up in fancy dress and braved the wind and the rain to abseil down their four-storey building to raise £5,000 for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day.

Fundraising for Comic Relief created a buzz around the Brownley Road campus as students worked to raise a minimum of £50 and staff to raise a minimum of £100 pounds in sponsorship. Students raised money by face-painting and selling cupcakes and red noses.

Superheroes abseiled down the college building during the charity event held on Friday 15 March and other thrillseekers joined in dressed as Teletubbies, Hawaiian dancers, the man from the Milk Tray ad, the Big Bad Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood and many others.
