Gatley Carnival Parade starting 11.45am followed by Family Fun Day, Gatley Hill starting 12:30pm
Following last years very hot weather, which you may know led to several casualties during parade and caused significant delays, the committee have decided this year the Carnival Parade and Fun day will start earlier.
On Sunday 6th July, Floats, Bands, Dancers, Community groups, Classic Cars and our very own royalty with this years chosen royalty being

Queen – Zoe Hilgart
Princess – Isabelle Milser
Rosebud – Katie Collins
the Carnival Parade will assemble at the High Grove pub Car Park, Silverdale Road from 11am with the parade setting off at 11:45am prompt.
The Parade theme this year is ” Gatley is Great!” so use your imagination and bring Gatley to life!!
The Fun Day will commence 12:30pm on Gatley Hill, straight after the arrival of the Parade. This year there will be a classic car show, displays, fairground rides and lots free entertainment and a record number of stalls.
During Festival week, look out for a Folk Music Festival (Sat 28th June) and Gatley Music Festival (Sat 3rd July) both of these outdoor events will this year be held at the High grove Pub and a brand new comedy night at Gatley Golf club on 1st July. Other new events planned include, a Gatley Local History walk, Community Dog Walk, Litter Picks, 2 and 5 K run and Children’s events.
The Festival committee comprises of seven local people who are currently working hard to organize a successful local event. The Festival needs your help by supporting events, making donations, purchasing festival draw tickets or even volunteering.
We would like to see local organizations get together and help us make this a really memorable
and successful festival.
