Wythenshawe Wheelers needs your help to get back two expensive bikes stolen from Wythenshawe Park last month.

Thieves stole 17 bikes after cutting through a fence and breaking into a container sometime between Wednesday 28 August and Thursday 29 August.

Some of the missing bikes have since been recovered thanks to the efforts of sharp-eyed residents.

Police have thanked the public for their support. After receiving information they recovered three tandem bikes from bushes off Yew Tree Lane in Northenden on Sunday 1 September 2013. These have been returned to Wythenshawe Wheelers.

Inspector Debbie Weake said: “We’re grateful to the community for their support and would ask that they continue to keep their eyes and ears open and call us with any information that could help us locate the outstanding bikes and identify the culprits.

“We will continue to patrol the Northenden and Brooklands areas to look for the bikes but if you spot anything please get in touch.”

Sue Blaylock, of Wythenshawe Wheelers, said a fourth missing tandem was recovered in a park in Cheadle Heath on Saturday September 7.

Still missing, are two marked KMX carts, worth £450 each, and some unmarked adult and children’s two-wheeler bikes.

In the picture above, you can see Sue Blaylock with one of the KMX carts.  The carts are red and black, with two wheels at the front and one at the back, and they are low to the ground to help avoid injuries to users with disabilities.

If you think you know where they are, contact the Police on 0161 856 4882 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
