Bridging the gap between a food bank and a supermarket the Message Community Grocery in Sharston has, since lockdown, been providing a dignified way for those on limited incomes to get affordable good quality food and produce. Now a new store is opening in Woodhouse Park within easy reach of Civic.

Wythenshawe Community Grocery is coming to William Temple Church in Robinswood Road, opening next Tuesday 10th February. Run by Christian charity The Message Trust, it is the sister shop to the successful one in Sharston, and, like it's older sibling, will become more than just a place to get affordable food.

Andrew Donegan, who will be managing the new facility, came onto The Buzz to explain all to Colin Owen.
